The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery not only provides the highest standard of surgical care for patients with maxillofacial deformities, cyst, and tumor of soft (cheek, tongue, palate, lip, etc) and hard (teeth and facial bones) tissues of the oral cavity, but also involves the treatment of soft and hard tissue trauma of the region such as teeth and jaws fractures, and extraction of impacted or erupted teeth, and pre-prosthetic surgery. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery also includes the treatment of maxillofacial pains, temporomandibular joint diseases, salivary gland diseases, and surgical correction of maxillofacial deformities. Furthermore diagnosis, treatment, and follow up of the oral symptoms of the systemic diseases are performed in The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. All medical and surgical treatments within our branch can be processed in our department under local or general anesthesia. For the patients who are difficult to cooperate, such as mentally retarded or children, not only surgical treatment but also multidisciplinary dental treatments can be done in our department under intravenous sedation or general anesthesia.
Both undergraduate and postgraduate lectures on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery are given in our department by the academic stuff who have wide international experiences. At the same time our department serves to the patients from all over the country and abroad with its modernized operating rooms, outpatient and inpatient clinics.
Clinics and Operating Rooms: By moving to Başıbüyük campus, our clinics and operating rooms are being physically renovated and supported by the central sterilization units and the latest technology.
Clinics: While the outpatient clinic of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with its 20 dental units serves to the patients, it also gives the opportunity of a modern education to the undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Operating Rooms: Our department, with its well equipped two general and five local anesthesia operating rooms, provides us to perform advance surgical procedures of our branch and serves an international level, modern and secure treatment opportunity to the community.
Patient Ward: There are three service rooms in our department for inpatient treatments.
